Palo Alto - PCNSA Prep - Adding a New Admin (SuperUser) Account




In this post, we will create a new administrator account, a superuser role. This allows us to login with the newly created username. Once logged in with the new username, we can delete the "admin" account. 

To create a new admin account.
Device > Administrators
Click add +.





Issue a name for the account, rriker in this case. Then issue a password, then confirm it. I chose to use a dynamic account and chose "superuser". Click OK.

With the new admin account created, logout and log back in with the new account. After logging in with the new account, delete the "admin" account. This is optional of course, but a good practice.

We can see that the "admin" account is no longer present.
